Doctor Kowalski is a 1990 graduate of the National College of Chiropractic, in Chicago, Illinois (now known as the National University of Health Sciences). He completed a multidisciplinary orthopedics residency in 1992 and is certified with the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists (DABCO). This unique program included training in advanced diagnostic imaging (i.e., MRI, CT and Bone Scan) interpretation, rehabilitation, medical care and diagnostics.

Doctor Kowalski lectures nationally for the National University of Health Sciences and has served as an instructor in Doctorate courses in Physical Therapy at Boston University Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitative Sciences.

Prior to 1992, chiropractors were not allowed to have staff privileges in Massachusetts Hospitals.  Through his work with Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital, Doctor Kowalski started a trend that has grown throughout the state and Country.  He is now a staff Chiropractor for Brigham and Women's Hospital and also practices at the Osher Center for Integrative Care at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Since 2003, Doctor Kowalski has served as a consultant to the Osher Institute for Complementary and Alternative Therapies, a division of Harvard University Medical School.  In 2003, he was honored with election into the International College of Chiropractors (FICC).
