Roof Racks

Roof racks are a little different from other types of racks because they are usually sold as individual components that, when assembled together, form the complete rack. A base roof rack setup for a naked roof consists of four feet, four fit clips, four locks and a pair of load bars.

Once you have established the base rack you can add individual carriers for bicycles, skis, snowboards, kayaks, luggage, even ladders and light lumber. Individual carriers vary in the way that they grasp their cargo. Some bike carriers, for example, hold the complete bike while others require removal of the front wheel.
